Once you reach Bran village you’ll be greeted with an image that won’t be easy to forget. The castle high on the rocky hill awaits to tell you it’s secrets. Bran Castle, also known as the Dracula Castle, does not only have an impressive architecture but also is a place of great stories, myths, and legends.
After the visit, you can indulge in cheese tasting or buy souvenirs and take lunch near the castle.
The tour continues toward Brașov, a chic mountain city. In Brasov, you’ll take a walking tour of the city exploring both the old part of the city and the medieval walls and bastions that were beautifully preserved.
The council square of Brasov
Founded in 1211 by the Teutonic Knights on an ancient Dacian area and populated by Saxons, Brasov is one of the seven walled citadels (Siebenürgen) and has beautifully preserved medieval walls and structures. Here you will enjoy a walking tour of the city, have lunch and get to go up by cable car on Tampa, the nearby mountain. The view of the city from above is amazing.
